Biography of

Lon Bartoli, VPA, BSN, VCLS, NREMT-I, RPT

Lon Bartoli, the author of Veterinary Hematology 101:A Pocket Reference Guideã , Veterinary Hematology 101-Thrombocytes in the Lab and several abstract form titles, is currently pursuing his lifelong dream of working in emergency services and teaching.

As a professional Veterinary Clinical Lab Specialist and firefighter I & II/NREMT-I, Lon Bartoli holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science. He has worked in veterinary medicine, (human) critical care nursing, EMS, business management, the insurance industry and fire science. Since 1991, he has been arduously involved in clinical laboratory science and is now considered by many in the profession as a guru in the clinical laboratory setting.

Lon has been recognized as the Montana Coordinator for the Back To Sleep – SIDS foundation which provided public service information geared towards helping to decrease the number of SIDS related infant deaths. He acted previously as the MT Representative for Make The Right call 911 Foundation which was instrumental at education the public regarding the inception of the 911 Emergency system. He participated in the rescue efforts for the San Francisco earthquake in 1989 as well as several other catastrophic events, which affected the lives of humans and animals alike.

Currently, Lon is the Vice President of Integrated Health Technologies Corporation, a patent development corporation with a mission statement of integrating the experience of animals and humans for the preservation of the life, safety and wellness of all. He operates this company with his revered friend, D. Tim Crowe, DVM.

Lon is involved in several ongoing clinical studies as he strives to accomplish his dreams of providing for his family and improving the lives of others.

Lon is currently associated with several hospitals and clinic throughout the country. He is the Region-4 Coordinator for Fire Stop a support firefighting agency, and a Nevada registered pharmacy technician and a firefighter/medic and Professional Fire Service Instructor for a career fire department in Northen Nevada.
